While in Hollywood we were able to attend church. What a great experience it was. In the building that we attended there were four different wards that went to church there. It included an English ward, a Sign Language ward, a Spanish ward, and a Cambodian ward. WOW! I think that there were only five white ladies in Relief Society and three of us were visiting from Utah. The RS presidency was made up of four ladies from the U.S., Nicaragua, Portugal, and Russia. Sitting next to me were ladies from Jamaica and France. There were also ladies from Africa, Italy, Cuba, and many others. The lesson was on encouragement. The teacher said that she kept a file on encouragement. In it she kept notes that people wrote to her, thoughts that uplifted her, etc. When she feels down she gets this file out and reads the notes and thoughts and she always feels better. I thought it was a great idea that we should all do. I love that we can go just about anywhere and be able to attend church where you know what is being taught is the exact same as what is taught at home.

Sounds like there is just a liiiitle bit more diversity there compared to good old Spanish Fork!
